Following consultation and analysis of the information you provide; I will undertake initial research to determine the extent of your project after which I will send you a quote tailored to your specific requirements. If accepted, I will forward a contract to be signed, and research will begin.
I will keep you informed of my progress at regular intervals. Progress may be communicated by email, phone or video chat or a combination of both taking into consideration time zones and schedules of both the client and genealogist.
On completion of your project, I will write a report delivered as a Pdf including copies of documents, source citations and translations.

What sort of information can normally be found in a French civil marriage record established after 1792?

Every client request is unique. Someone may want a look up, another their family tree traced as far back as possible. My fees are established after consultation with the client and are determined by the client's project type, difficulty or complexity and for the time invested in research, deciphering, analysis, translation of documents and of the accompanying report.
Fees are charged in Australian dollars.
A 50% deposit is required for each project. The balance is due upon completion.
PAYMENT The accepted method of payment is PayPal. Fees apply on all PayPal transactions. PayPal offers the option of payment with either a debit card or credit card. You can use this payment method regardless of whether you have a PayPal account.

The genealogist is bound by an obligation of means not of results. I will therefore make every effort to obtain the desired results as contractually agreed upon. However, despite extensive research it is possible that a person or document may not be found. An example of this is the Franco-Prussian War that culminated in the Siege of Paris 1870 - 1871 during which 8 million records were destroyed and for which to date only a third have been re-established.
At the completion of a project the balance of my fee is due in its entirety regardless of the outcome.
